Just like catchy blog titles or ad headlines, clever license plates are also a lot of fun.
These two plates are on cars in a condo garage in San Francisco. I don't know the owner of "4TUITUS" but I like his car and think the plate is quite apt.
Now, this second plate, "NO SHMPU" leaves one with no doubt about this guy's hair style! He's one of the nicest guys around, and each time I see his plate I smile.
Hope this bit of whimsy has you smiling. Have you seen some other great plates in San Francisco? Please share!

We get a kick out of vanity plates too. Ours is N8TURE - our old Audi TT convertible was T42. :)
Very clever, Debb! Two good license plates, guaranteed to put a smile on faces.
I'm often amuzed by the creativity some folks put into their personalized plates.
I confess Lottie that sometimes it takes me awhile to figure them out (LOL)!
Thankfully these two I "got" right away
Sometimes with the local plates I can figure them out, other times I guess it's an inside joke for the folks that already know the driver and the rest of us our just stumped.
Some people are very creative, Myrl Jeffcoat - both of these plates had me smiling.
Kathleen Daniels and Liz and Bill Spear - some plates definitely need inside knowledge; these two were fun for all.
It's a shame there's isn't a picture of the driver to go along with the plate to see what his or her hair looks like
Cynthia Larsen - is that your car? Cute plate!
Debe Maxwell, CRS - Rob is a great, young guy, completely bald, hence no shampoo!
Thanks for the smile, Lottie. Some vanity license plates are totally idiotic, and then there are some like this one that do make you smile and think.
Good morning Lottie. I think license plates can be neat and a look into the personalities of the car owners.
I like trying to figure out what different vanity plates say, sometimes I have no clue, haha.
I'm with you, Brian England , but these two make sense to me and made me smile.
Sheila Anderson - can you guess what kind of hair do "no shampu" has?
Nina Hollander - glad I could spread the smile around!
I was right in my guess that the second one must have been bald. You may start something new, a license plate challenge!
Hi Pat Starnes, Brandon, MS - you got it! I'll be on the look out for more fun plates in the days/weeks to come.
Lottie
Some license plates are really interesting.
Good luck and success.
