Yesterday I shared highlights of the first few days of having a Golden Retriever as our house guest in our small San Francisco condo.
Here is what Tanner has been up to the last 3 days:
Friday: We took advantage of a brief late-afternoon client appointment in Portola Valley, giving Tanner a nice hour-long car ride, followed by a hike at Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve. He enjoyed the trail hiking, and especially loved romping freely in the off-leash area near the top of the hill.
Saturday: Play day! All 3 of us enjoyed the lesser-traveled trails in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, where Tanner could run off leash. The second-favorite part of Tanner's adventure was enjoying our picnic lunch with us.
Sunday: This was our day to spend with friends at Flower Piano so Tanner waited until early evening for a walk with Gene to our neighborhood Lafayette Park, where he enjoyed meeting and greeting other dogs, and some people, too.
Our house guest will be with us for 3 more days - 3 more days to enjoy time together before he'll be reunited with Mom. Life with a dog in San Francisco, a treat many people enjoy -- many dogs, too.
--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!

Hi Sharon Lee - we're having fun, but it sure is a time commitment!
Myrl Jeffcoat - this dog has the best disposition ever--at least until he goes on a sit-down strike and won't budge :
