Living the San Francisco Dream

AIDSWalk, San Francisco, July 16, 2017

AIDS ribbonIt's that time of year again, time for the annual  AIDSWalk San Francisco

The San Francisco AIDSWalk has raised more than $88 million for HIV programs and services in the Bay Area. Proceeds from this year's event will help support Project Open Hand, the Positive Resource Center, and the Golden Compass Program at Ward 86

One of my real estate friends and colleagues, Eric Castongia, has been participating in this event since its inception in 1987, and is doing so again this year. Talk about commitment!

Please help if you can. It's easy to do, raises needed funds to support those in need, and signals support of one of our real estate family.

The simplest way to donate is online at: https://sf.aidswalk.net/EricCastongia

Another option: send a check made payable to AIDSWalk SF. Mail to Eric Castongia, 2282 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94114

Finally, if you'd like to cheer on the walkers, here's the scoop:

  • Where: Golden Gate Park. (check the Music Concourse)
  • When: Sunday, July 16, 2017. 9:45AM - Opening ceremony. 10:30AM - 6.2K walk begins

--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!

I remember in the 1980s when I first became aware of AIDS.  I thought it was a horrible disease that would have a cure by now.  Alas, it hasn't been the case!

Lottie, hard to believe the Aids Walk is here again, it is even harder to comprehend that about 40+ years ago we heard about this disease...Endre

Hello Myrl Jeffcoat - no cure (yet) for AIDS, but many great advances in treatments have been made.

Good morning, Endre Barath, Jr. - the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s was truly a horrible time. Fortunately, great strides have been made in treatment and the efforts continue.

Hello Jeff Dowler - the turnout for the AIDSWalk SF is always great, with many corporate sponsors adding their support. Eric hasn't missed a year -- amazing, especially with all the weekend commitments of Realtors.
