Casablanca...with the San Francisco Symphony, June 2017

Casablanca....Humphrey Bogart....Ingrid Bergman....As Time Goes By

Just seeing the names conjures up one of my favorite stories from the 1940s, one that is as timely today as it was back in 1942 when the movie was first released. Casablanca!

Now you have a chance to watch the entire film while the renown San Francisco Symphony plays the musical score. Davies Symphony Hall provides the perfect setting for a special evening, but tickets are going fast. Order tickets and get more information here.

When: Friday June 2, 2017 and Saturday June 3, 2017 - each showing is at 8:00 PM

Where: Davies Symphony Hall, 201 Van Ness Avenue at the Civic Center, San Francisco

When you are Living your San Francisco Dream, it's easy to take advantage of opportunities like this one, Casablanca and the San Francisco Symphony - a winning duo.

Hi Lottie - that should certainly be a packed house. The movie has some of the most quoted lines.

That is going to be a great event.  Musical events are my favorite.

Such a classic movie, Lottie. What fun that would be to attend and hesr the symphony live! What a gift that would be for a classic movie and music lover! I bet it will sell out!

I own the movie and have watched it since childhood almost every year. Max Steiner was one of the giants of movie music.

Play it, Sam....I mean Grant Schneider - the underlying theme of Casablaca remains as relevant today as it was in 1942.

Hi Chris Ann Cleland - we bought tickets to Casablanca a few days ago--very few in our favorite price category left. These movie events with the symphony playing are always popular.

It's a great match, Jeff Dowler - a classic movie with the symphony playing the score. We're going and taking my daughter and her husbandas a birthday gift.

Maybe you should plan a weekend in San Francisco, Myrl Jeffcoat We're going on Friday evening, 6/2.

Hello Joe Pryor - Casablanca would be a great addition to a home movie collection. The underlying theme is as timely today as it was in 1942.

This sounds like a good idea. We don't have those sorts of events in Sacramento and with traffic, you never know, it could take you 90 minutes to drive into the city or 7 hours.

Well, Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents ,  I think you need to plan an overnight here - that's the only way to cope with the crazy traffic between here and Sacramento.

Well, we generally do spend the night but for Saturday or Sunday matinee performances, it's often much more efficient to drive in to the city. My husband prefers the train, which is OK as long as I don't have to trek long distances up hill once the B.A.R.T. deposits us, LOL.

Thanks for your good wishes, Lou Ludwig - Casablanca is a great movie, and to see it at symphony hall with the score played by the SF Symphony will be wonderful.

This is a classic and I tire of seeing it. I think I have seen it at least 7-8 times, Lottie. Hope you get to go.
