Living the San Francisco Dream

San Francisco-the new and the old

San Francisco - the new and the old. Contrasting architectural styles and sizes somehow bring the past alive.

This picture was taken from the Yerba Buena Gardens near the Moscone Convention Center south of Market Street. The church is St. Patrick's Catholic Church, built prior to the great 1906  earthquake and fire, restored and seismically retrofitted after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.

Hi Kristin Johnston, Waukesha County Realtor 414-254-6647 - I'm glad you enjoyed the shot.

Yes, Barbara Todaro - the new and the old complement each other nicely--just like people!

Hello Jennifer Mackay - free summer concert at Yerba Buena center was just about to start when the juxtaposition of the old and the new of these buildings caught my fancy.
