I love where I live!
Five years ago my husband and I were ready for a life change. We left the nearby Peninsula town where I lived for 40 years and moved to San Francisco. This wasn't a hasty decision, and we gave a lot of thought to where in San Francisco is the right spot for us.
Each neighborhood in The City has its own unique characteristics. We chose one in the northeast quadrant of San Francisco, the area near Russian Hill, Chinatown, North Beach, Telegraph Hill, the Embarcadero, Fort Mason, Davies Symphony Hall, the Opera House, Union Square and the financial district.
All of these areas are within 1.3 miles from our home, great for walking (our favorite activity), taking Muni or grabbing an Uber.
This area also has the weather we like (much less fog than by the ocean), 2 branch libraries as well as the main library, a number of parks, and views of the bay and Marin County beyond.
We have discovered that this is a friendly City, it doesn't take long to get to know the merchants and get involved in local neighborhood groups. And if you are a dog owner, you'll soon get to know many people at the local parks.
Here there's a sense of excitement, of promise, of life; of the unexpected waiting to be discovered.
Is it time for you to make the move? I'm ready to help.
