Living the San Francisco Dream

The Magic of San Francisco's Fog

Yesterday I met a friend, a real estate colleague from across the bay in Oakland. It was our day for a City walk, which we attempt to schedule quarterly. We share how our markets are doing, what new things we've learned, what challenges we face.

While we talk, we walk.

These pictures were taken as we walked down the hill from the Golden Gate Bridge to Crissy Field, within the space of a couple of minutes.

This is the magic of San Francisco's fog!

Lottie, wow!  The fog is so eerily beautiful!  I love the way you got the crisp shot of the yellow flowers to make it even more interesting!

My first apartment in San Francisco overlooked the Bay Bridge and I remember well how the fog would envelope my home and then suddenly disappear.

The fog is gorgeous, Patricia Kennedy and ever-changing. When we moved here almost 5 years ago, I remember my brother thinking we'd get used to our view of the bay after a while, but we never do--each day is different, in large part to the fog and clouds, or lack thereof.

Then you know exactly how I feel about the City's fog, Nina Hollander

Lottie Kendall  Like the contrast of the two pictures it really shows the difference of the fog or is it smog

It's fog from the ocean, Hannah Williams - the two pictures were taken 3 or 4 minutes apart.

Indeed I am, Noah Seidenberg - lazy morning at the computer after an evening of dinner at North Beach and the Beach Blanket Babylon show!

Wishing you a great weekend, too.

And a blessing to keep you cool. We are heating up to 96 degrees here in San Jose today ... even with a little cloud cover ... it is still hot.

Lottie Kendall - Fog is so mystic and cool to experience.  Love the sunshine, but enjoy the fog too!  Great photos!

Yes, Kathleen Daniels - we're enjoying mid-70s here today; upper 70s yesterday. I have gotten so used to this!

Hi Laura Allen, Lake Tahoe - Truckee Real Estate for Sale www.TahoeLauraLuxuryHomes.com - I wouldn't like to be in midst of fog every day, but that doesn't happen in this part of San Francisco - just enough to be interesting.

Lottie

When I'm in San Francisco California I look to walking the city. It's a great city to walk in.

Good luck and success.

San Francisco is such a magical place and the way that fog can completely disappear the Golden Gate bridge is awesome.

Hello Lou Ludwig - walking here, 12 months of the year, is always a treat. The fog is our natural air conditioner -- warm, sunny days then the fog comes in to cool us off.

Hi Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington  - the fog creates magic!

Hello Gita Bantwal - wishing you a good day, too.

Posted by Lottie Kendall, Helping make your real estate dreams a reality (Compass) about 3 years ago

Hello Chris Ann Cleland - the fog, or lack thereof, makes every day seem different - plus keeps our temperature enjoyable.

Posted by Lottie Kendall, Helping make your real estate dreams a reality (Compass) about 3 years ago

Hi Lottie - that really changes quickly.  I can't believe how quickly it moved in.

Posted by Grant Schneider, Your Coach Helping You Create Successful Outcomes (Performance Development Strategies) about 3 years ago

You never know with the fog, Grant Schneider whether it's in for hours or minutes. So very changeable. This morning there was a thick layer of fog just over the water; a hour later not a speck remains.
