Living the San Francisco Dream

Exuberance - who can express it better than a Golden?

San Francisco is a city that loves its dogs. You see them romping in the parks, playing at the water's edge along Crissy Field, walking sedately on a leash on city streets.

We have dog parks, off-leash dog parks, and treats for dogs at shops.

While many dogs living here are small and well-suited to life in an apartment or condominium, Golden Retrievers are popular for their good, fun-loving natures.

This video, which is making the rounds on Facebook, expresses perfectly the happy-go-lucky nature of Golden Retrievers, and seems well-suited to the I-don't-always-stay-between-the-lines nature of San Franciscans themselves.

Enjoy!

Lottie, Golden retrievers are the best dogs, as they have such a good temperament.    My friend has one, and he sheds quite a bit, but a small price to pay for such a great dog.

He is just adorable!  They have the best temperament, for sure.

Susan Haughton and Joan Cox - even people who aren't major dog lovers like Golden Retrievers. There's something very winsome about them. I loved that video.

That video is hilarious Lottie Kendall our neighbors have a Golden, named Sandy, that could be it's twin in form and personality.

Good morning Lottie. I have had a lot of dogs in my life and they are wonderful creatures. As we all know, they do give unconditional love. Then too, dog is God spelled backwards.

Hi Michael - I'm not a dog owner myself, but since moving to SF I've come to enjoy all the happy dogs I see romping and playing in the parks. And I really enjoy my granddaughter's Golden Retriever.
