Living the San Francisco Dream

A Glimpse of San Francisco-a Victorian House in Pacific Heights

Walking and hiking in San Francisco is a love of mine, and one I enjoy many times a week. Each neighborhood is unique, with its fun, beautiful, surprising characteristics. As I walk about, I often snap pictures of a building, a garden, a park, a view, happy dogs, or whatever strikes my fancy.

I enjoy sharing glimpses of the neighborhoods in San Francisco. This week, as I was jogging across Pacific Heights, the beauty of this Victorian House, tucked between larger condominiums and apartment buildings, made me pause.

Victorian house on Pacific Ave, SF

Its obviously a well-loved and well-cared for home. Located across the street from a small market, close to bus lines and the Union Street and Upper Fillmore neighborhoods, I suspect the owner is one happy camper. Take a closer look at the detail:

Isn't it marvelous?

When you're ready to live your San Francisco dream, whether it's a beautiful old Victorian house or a sleek, modern condominium, give me a call and we'll get started.

Yes, it is marvelous, Lottie.  I would love to walk the streets/hills of San Fran with you.  Maybe someday!

The Weather Channel said that parts of CA may get rain this week.  My fingers are crossed.  BTW 91 inches of snow so far in Erie.

Mary, please share some of that moisture with us! (Perhaps not snow--can you imagine what that would do with our hills? ) Skies are cloudy this morning, a bit of rain is expected north of the Golden Gate (like about a tenth of an inch!) and I'm hoping for something here--we'll see.

That is a beautiful Victorian Lottie.  I remember looking at all of these wonderful old homes when I lived in San Francisco.  You are lucky to have such a wealth of diverse properties to sell in your area.

Wouldn't you love having an office, or a reading nook, in the top of the turret, Scott? This isn't a particularly grand Victorian, but it look very liveable and much loved.

That home's a beauty, Lottie.  There are many great examples in the older section of Joliet here in Will County.  I always used to love appraising them, back in my day.  Just a pleasure to view the craftmanship, let along the architecture.  Glad you get to see so many examples of these homes during your walks ...

It is lovely, isn't it Gene? I'd love to see some of Joliet's stately homes.

Lottie, what a stunning home! I'd love to get a tour. San Francisco has such beautiful architecture, thanks for sharing.

Lottie  SF is one of the 4 most romantic cities we got.  San Antonio is another.  They have a similar situation with a church surrounded by a dept. store!  Thanks for the tour.  Where are we going tomorrow?

No walk tomorrow, but I'll fill you in on a pending sale of my San Carlos listing! (Or maybe I'll tell you about my walk to our Realtor board office today to attend a class about tenant law in San Francisco!)

Lottie I like how you make use of your time. I often will travel around Maui with  my video camera. Beautiful home, you should have many buyers in this neighborhood.
