Living the San Francisco Dream

More whimsey in San Francisco

Taking a walk in San Francisco is always delightful, with unexpected fun to be seen along the way.

A light post is generally quite utilitarian - it keeps us from tripping and provides safety. This one provided those benefits, but in a fun way.

I love the creative minds in San Francisco!

When you live your San Francisco dream, you're guaranteed to enjoy finding your own bits of whimsey to gladden your heart and make you smile.

Lottie,

One of my dreams is somehow to earn or win millions of dollars to live where the most creative minds are in San Francisco.  It was a pleasure being there for the NAR Conference recently.  However, there are some other areas of the city that are more appealing to me personally (like Golden Gate Park) than Union Square.  Have fun living your dreams there!

Lottie, what a cute way to decorate a street light... very creative.

Good morning, Lottie. I totally understand. Coming across the Golden Gate I made a wrong turn and wound up in downtown San Francisco. It is interesting what one can see in the downtown area.

Whimsey indeed, mixed with talent and creativity Lottie, I love it.

Lottie, we had a great opportunity to sample the streets of San Francisco as we walked to and from the Moscone Convention Center from our hotel by Fisherman's Wharf on Friday and Saturday during the NAR Convention.  It was a great experience and great exercise!

Hi Andrew - sorry our paths didn't cross at NAR. You would have enjoyed walking in the Presidio with some of us. One thing about San Francisco--there's a neighborhood that's right for just about everyone. Glad you enjoyed your trip here.

Nancy, that lamp post was a delightful surprise. Very clever.

Michael, driving in downtown San Francisco isn't much of a treat - hope you can see some of it on foot the next time.

Roger, I suspected you'd enjoy the giraffe!

Sharon/Bruce - you had an interesting walk to the NAR convention. Walking along the Embarcadero is a real pleasure, isn't it?

Lottie, we walked on Columbus and then cut through Chinatown on Stockton to Market Street.   I must admit we walked pretty fast on the way home from downtown on the dark streets on Stockton one night after 11 pm!!!

It's nice to hear you got out and explored the City, Sharon/Bruce. The financial district can get pretty empty late at night--I bet you walked quickly!
