I've never actually taken that staircase to Coit Tower.  I really need to spend more time in SF and just wander around to all the stuff not on the "beaten path".  Clearly I'm missing out.

Lottie - In a city of stairs, one can forget having to use the StairMaster, it just part of your daily routine!

Bryan, say the word and I'll plan another "off the beaten path" hike. I'm really easy to persuade

Laura, absolutely! We have a gym in our building, but I don't use the treadmill or StairMaster when I can so easily head outside, 12 months a year.

Lottie, no wonder you stay in such great shape, sad to say that at 174 steps Coit Tower might be more exercise than I get all day! Those steps look pretty far apart. I've been back at the gym 3 times a week but the StairMaster is not on my routine.

Nancy, walking up and down San Francisco's hills and staircases is my attempt to counter-balance all the fabulous restaurants we have in town.

Steps..... I remove junk or unwanted items from peoples homes all day and those steps sure do get longer as the day goes on haha

Hello Delaware -- I'm sure you get your fill of steps. I marvel at how movers handle the many steep staircases in San Francisco. Not easy, Im sure.
