Living the San Francisco Dream

It's Never Too Late to Say Thank You!

It's never too late to say thank you!

"Thank you so much for helping me purchase my first condo! You have been so great and resourceful--I will definitely pass [your name] along!" ...... Kelly F.

Some days it's hard to keep motivated; some days things don't go smoothly. Working with buyers in today's strong sellers' market is challenging, to say the least. Often we write 2, 3, 4 or more good offers before one is accepted. But when our buyer is in contract, investigations are complete, contingencies removed and we hand over the keys - it's a sweet feeling.

There's no better feeling than knowing the buyer is happy and appreciative of the work involved.

Red roses

Imagine my surprise and pleasure when, about 2 months after escrow closed, to have these lovely roses show up at my office, with the note. It was all the sweeter that this happened well after she is settled into her home - I know we've done well.

So, if you ever think the time has past and it's too late to send a thank you note or a gift, think again.

It's never too late to say thank you!

--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!

Lottie - You know you've done a great job when your clients are still thinking about you and cared enough to send a wonderful thank you note with beautiful flowers! Congratulations on a job well done!

Hi Lottie~ Beautiful roses! I'll have to remember that...never too late to say thank you!

Thanks, Laura. The buyer and I had a good time working together, and it's nice that she still remembers that a few months later.

Donna, I'm sure we've all thought, 'oh, I should have written/called earlier, now it's too late.' I now have a new take on that!

Donna Foester's re-blog sent me to your original and I have to say, better late than never.  I'm sure that was a nice surprise and congrats!

Hi Tammie -- I was so pleased, not only with the beautiful flowers, but the note that came with them, and knowing my first-time buyer was happy with her choice.

Thank you, Carla. I was flattered that Donna chose to re-blog this. My take away: send the note, even if late (sometimes late is good.)
