Living the San Francisco Dream

An Evening at the San Francisco Opera

inside the SF opera houseOne of the pleasures of living my San Francisco dream is that it is so easy to enjoy some of the fabulous events our City has to offer, as we did last weekend when we went to the San Francisco Opera's performance of Tosca. Tosca is a tragic tale told through the gorgeous music of Giacomo Puccini.

SF War Memorial Opera HouseThe San Francisco Opera, second largest opera company in North America, is located on Van Ness Avenue across from City Hall, a nice walk or bus ride from many of the condos in the Pacific Heights, Marina, Cow Hollow, Russian Hill, Nob Hill areas of the city.

Tosca will be performed through December 2, 2012. If you miss it, never fear -- there are many other wonderful operas on the 2012-2013 calendar, ranging from old favorites like Rigoletto to new ones like Moby Dick and family operas, The Secret Garden.

Does urban living appeal to you as is does to me? Perhaps you're ready for a pied-a-terre or full-time residence in the City.

--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!

Morning Lottie-Sounds like your area has a lot of culture. I have never been to an opera. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Nothing like a night at the opera. The music's good, too.

Hi Sharon - plots of the operas are usually inane, but the music, staging and costuming is usually superb. I hope you get the opportunity to go sometime. I also hope your Thanksgiving was a good day.

David, it sounds like you're an opera buff. Do you have a favorite one?

Having access to all the many arts outlets San Francisco has to offer is a definite advantage.  Anyone wanting to know more about city life should definitely call you.

So glad you enjoyed Tosca last week, Lottie.  The diversity of the arts and culture is what I enjoy most about living in a city like San Francisco!
