Living the San Francisco Dream

Seeking that elusive balance

The life of a Realtor® can get out of kilter in the blink of an eye. Working on weekends as much as many of us do, then putting in another 40 hours during the week can leave us jittery and less efficient than we need to be.

So, how do you handle that?

I try to take a half-day off during the week, as well as a half-day on the weekends. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Yesterday worked!

I worked a couple of hours in the early morning, then at 8:30 I met my friend for a hike through Crissy Field, across the Golden Gate Bridge, up into the Marin Headlands to the top of Slacker Hill, and then back. We capped off our 13-mile hike with lunch from Greens to Go at Fort Mason, sitting at the edge of the bay with the warm sun at our backs and the cool breeze gently blowing, before returning to our cars.

By 2:30 I was back at home; by 3:30 I was back at work, refreshed and happy. There's nothing quite like a day hiking in the sunshine with a kindred spirit to refresh and recharge. I'm still smiling!

On the Golden Gate bridgeAre you ready to live your San Francisco dream?

--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!
