Living the San Francisco Dream

Why I Love Being a Realtor® -- it's all about the people

Bill and Liz Spears, Ambassadors on Active Rain, have asked us to share what it is we love about our professions. Read their post, and then tell us your story.

For me, it's easy: it's all about the people!

Valentine cookies

People who bake cookies with their grandchildren and send a bag to my associate and me. I know I've done a good job for them when that happens years after my last real estate transaction with them.

People who send me flowers after I consult with them. Even though they have decided to stay put in their home longer, they are appreciative of my counsel.

People who send notes, like this one that I received today, Valentine's Day:

"At this point I need professional help. We would [like] to talk to you about my search, altering our "must-have" criteria, and perhaps think about a plan B. We would also like to ask you for a current valuation of our property ... Could we set up a time to see you in your office?"

People who reply to my emails and respond with comments like these that have come in in the last two days:

"We love our place!"

"...we have a new addition to the family, xxxxxxx who was born 1/31/17! Something tells me we'll be working together again sooner rather than later!"

"Things are good here. I still love the place. And it's so nice to be closer to my mother and sister."

"Happy Valentine's Day and thanks for thinking of me. If I ever know someone selling I will recommend you for sure!"

People, clients and friends, who trust me enough to refer their friends and family to me, the biggest honor I can receive.

People like my stager, the home inspector, the concrete contractor, the photographer and the handyman, who fit their work into my schedule to make life smooth for my clients.

The lenders, title company officers and representatives, who provide excellent service to me and to my sellers and buyers.

The agents I meet locally and on Active Rain, who share a smile, a tip, an idea that makes my life more pleasant.

With people like these in my life, why wouldn't I love being a Realtor®?

--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!
