Living the San Francisco Dream

A January Adventure, San Francisco Style

January, like all months, is a delightful time to live and work in San Francisco. While I travel up and down the Peninsula most days, once or twice a week I have a day when I work solely from my home office. From my desk I see clear blue skies -- an an occasional flock of wild parrots go by!

I knew I'd be working yesterday evening, so in the afternoon I took a break, and headed out to one of my favorite areas (I have many "favorites" - San Francisco is like that!) for the day's adventure.

I often go to the San Francisco Presidio, and I did again yesterday, but this time I took a new trek.

Google map, Presidio trail run

From Inspiration Point, I ran past the National Cemetery, down the hill (was that fun!!) under Park Presidio Boulevard, into Ft. Winfield Scott, past the parade ground and over to the Golden Gate Bridge. From there I continued along the Coastal Trail, down a long flight of stairs to little Marshall Beach. Heading back up the many staircases I walked--up and up until I was at the Immigrant Point overlook. A water break here felt good, then a slow jog past the Wine Bunkers and back to my car at Inspiration Point.

Whether one runs or hikes, this is a delightful route, just over 4 beautiful miles, and one that will be in my repertoire for active visitors to enjoy, any month of the year.

Below are a few images from yesterday's January adventure.
