What unique benefit do I bring my clients?

What unique benefit do I bring to my clients? This has been forefront in my mind all month, since Debbie Reynold's June challenge asked us to share our thoughts about what sets us apart in our business.

Too often we think that what we do, most real estate agent do. However, what we think is ordinary might not be so, as I learn from comments from clients.

trust"Lottie was fantastic and I have already recommended her to friends. Not only was she professional, but kept me well informed and worked extremely hard!"  (Points for me to remember: be professional, work hard, and communicate well.)

"Lottie was terrific! Her expertise and knowledge of the area and the market was remarkable, and her good spirits and positive outlook made our interactions always a pleasure. Of course we will recommend Lottie." (Points: knowledge, good spirits and positive outlook.)

"Lottie was a great agent! Kept on top of everything, gave wonderful advice, would definitely use her again! She is also a warm, kind person who genuinely cares." ( Remember: advise, care and be kind)

"...met her while she was holding open house nearby; was immediately impressed with her knowledge and professionalism...A++" (Knowledge and a professional manner are appreciated.)

"Lottie was just exceptional in keeping us informed, in her advice and in her personal connection with us. She was head and shoulders above the agents that sold our home. We would recommend her without reservation."  (Advise, communicate, and make that personal connection)

patience and calmness are appreciated"Your organizational skills and calm manners made everything feel quite smooth, especially considering the very tight deadline we were given. Lottie, I feel good working together with you. Thank you." (Be organized, stay calm.)

"Lottie was exceptionally patient while the family dealt with my father's illness and ultimate death." (Reminder to self: patience and caring are valued)

These wonderful, heart-warming words validate that the long, sometimes difficult hours I spend are well worth the time. My clients need to have someone who cares about them, who is patient and kind, who knows the market and gives solid advice, and communicates well. On the face of it, those traits don't sound like anything extraordinary, but to my clients they are invaluable.
