Earth Day 2012

Earth Day, 2012

April blooms at Edgewood County Park, San Mateo CoSunday, April 22, 2012 -- Earth Day. Did the various Earth Day activities in your area give you pause for thought? Perhaps you're ending the day with a renewed sense of appreciation for our physical world and the sometimes fragile beauty that surrounds us. Hopefully you were able to spend a bit a time enjoying a park, a beach, a mountain. Maybe you pitched in and helped clean up a river bank, planted a tree or flowers, pulled weeds from an Open Space preserve.

Baker Beach and Golden Gate Bridge, SFEarth Day -- a time to reflect and make a pledge to ourselves to use our resources wisely and with joy. To learn about the history of Earth Day and how this movement got it's start, log onto the Earth Day organization's web page. Each of us definitely has the power to make our world a better place

--- Come for a visit; Stay for a lifetime!
